Clean Slate

As some of you may have noiticed, I've deleted all my old posts. I'll only be posting studies, paintings and drawings from life or reference here from now on.

Anyway, to kick things off, here's a sargent study. I'm planning on doing several of these digitally, then moving on to oils. I'm also planning to spend at least this year studying Sargent, as well as a handfull of other 19th/early 20th century artists like Bouguereau, Eakins, Boldini, Waterhouse, Ingres etc. I'm going to try to get a hold of some Bargue plates to do some copies from as well.

Anyway, I spent about 5 hours on this today. I could spend at least 5 more on it, but I think I"ve learned what I will from it already. Also, no tracing or color picking...
